My turn: Desert Island Singles

Time for my first stab at a desert island singles list. I finally stumbled over to the computer, turned on iTunes, and these popped to the top of the list:

Musical Missions, Little Einsteins. Ok, that's my kids' fault.

She, Harry Connick, Jr. I also like With Imagination (I'll Get There) and With Imagination (I'll Get There). I'll have to d/l Learn To Love You on iTunes and see what BiW is talking about.

America, Neil Diamond. Played this one a lot last July.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. A big guy with a big name. This some always makes me feel hopeful. Don't know why.

Your Mama Don't Dance, Poison.

Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American), Toby Keith. Also in heavy rotation last July. Only Toby Keith song I own. I should go buy some more.

Falling for the First Time, Barenaked Ladies. Used to think Barenaked Ladies was a stupid name for a band, and never paid them any attention. Stupid me.

Centerfield, John Fogerty. Baseball and apple pie.

The Gambler, Kenny Rogers. I wonder if he'll be pitching for the Tigers again next year?

Time to Start, Blue Man Group. Saw them in Chicago a few years ago. Their show in London closed this summer after only a year and a half. I'd love to see How to Be a MegaStar.

Istanbul (Not Constantinople), They Might Be Giants. You also gotta add Particle Man.

Here I Go Again, Whitesnake.

Jump, Van Halen.

If This Is It, Huey Lewis and the News. Also The Heart of Rock & Roll, and pretty much anything off Fore! and Sports.

Voices Carry, 'Til Tuesday. I saw posters for an Aimee Mann concert when we were in London this summer. Not bad for the vocalist froma 'one hit wonder'.

That's enough for now. Time to check on the girls, they're awful quiet...

You know, I forgot that Motley Crue song from Girls, Girls, Girls about the assasin. The name escapes me. I blame you. You got me listening to that album.

Learn to Love you was on Lets Just Kiss. Other random Harry track? You didn't know me when...

Call me tomorrow, bro. I'm waiting for a medical test to come back.

The Motley Crue song? Sumthin for Nuthin. And it isn't about an assassin. I looked up the lyrics. Man, was I naive back then or what?
